Belgium is an interesting place to be, but there is one place that is most popular. Antwerp is the largest city in Belgium and has the second largest port in all of Europe. This city has the 5th largest port in the entire world. It is a popular place for tourists because of its extremely rich history. However, this is not the only reason people love it. Even with its history, one of the major reasons Antwerp is so popular is the fact that it has more diamonds than the mind can imagine

This one area can account for more than 70% of the diamond trade in the world. It is also home to diamond cutters and polishers. In the center of town, you will find the Diamond District which holds thousands of people who have devoted their lives to these magnificent stones.

Things to See

As you venture out around Antwerp, you will see a lot of bikers riding around. It is the most common way of travel here and allows you to enjoy all the scenery. You can visit the Grote Market, enjoy the art and architecture of the buildings (especially the Cathedral of Our Lady, which was started in 1351 and still is not completed) and tour the Royal Museum to learn more about this historic city.
